How The World’s Population is Being Forced to Succumb to Genetically Modified Organisms
Monsanto, whose executives have publicly said that they want Monsanto to become the only producer of genetically modified (GM) seeds in the world, is now joined by a smaller company, in California, which has the same hope. That company is Epicyte, whose president, Mitch Hein, announced at a press conference in 2001: “We have a hothouse filled with corn plants that make anti-sperm antibodies.”
Epicyte’s GM corn is financed, in part, by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA). Hein claims that it is a possible solution to world ‘over-population’. A contraceptive concealed in crops meant for human consumption?
In the US, genetically engineered corn (maize), soy, cottonseed oil and canola (a type of rapeseed oil) are in most processed foods. Consumers have no idea they are there, and no means to distinguish them from other items. GM foods have never been tested for human safety consumption. Yet, studies in animals repeatedly show severe organ damage and infertility/sterility.
Last May, Codex International Organization, founded by the United Nations, which regulates all foods, minerals and herbs in the world, reported it does not believe that GMO products are food. It places foods with these ingredients in a different category to food produced naturally. This means that they can be used for various practices, including birth control and the creation of infertility in a nation or people.
Are biotech companies, with the help of our governments, trapping us into consuming GMOs?
Whole Foods Markets recently admitted that it cannot keep biotech foods off its shelves. A representative for the corporation acknowledged, in May of 2011, that the realities of the marketplace have forced a shift in the company’s previous no-GMOs policy.
Joe Dickson, quality standards coordinator for Whole Foods Markets, notes that GMO’s dominate the market, especially for corn, soy and canola crops, from which ingredients in most processed foods are derived.
“Until there’s federal government mandated labeling of GMO ingredients, there’s no way to tell if packaged products contain GMO ingredients,” Dickson said. “Our approach is to work in the spirit of partnership with our suppliers… to encourage them to take active steps to avoid GMO ingredients.”
In spite of public skepticism about GMO foods, the FDA has backed Monsanto and other bio-tech corporations, declaring that modified foods do not require special labeling to let consumers know they are eating GMOs.
Why would the USDA fund the creation of a corn crop that sterilizes humans? Why has The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation spent billions of dollars ‘helping’ with the planting and harvesting of GM crops in Africa, Latin America and Asia?
Think GM technology is directed solely at third world countries? Think again. GMOs are directed at all countries in the world, and most heavily, at the US. Keeping GMOs unlabeled leaves us all prey to them.
Perhaps it’s time the public started suing their government for forced exposure?

Theodora Filis article heading can be taken as misleading, would much prefer “World’s Population ‘BEING’ Forced to Succumb to GMOs.
There are many individuals and organisations in many countries that have and continue to campaign against Monsanto’s aim to control the worlds food. Yes, and the company is being helped by the US government that has a number of former Monsanto’s directors appointed by Obama, as they were under Bush.
Monsanto will succeed, unless we all come together in a world-wide campaign to defeat Monsanto and others such as Dow Chemical and DuPont. UK govts have been in discussions with Monsanto and five others trying to get GM crops planted and for food that contains GM not to be so labled. We must demand that all food be GMO free.
Roundup, Monsanto’s so called Weed-Killer that contains Glyphosate now recognised to be dangerous, must be banned from all stores in the UK. We in the UK can do this by protesting to any store that has Roundup on its shelves.
There are a number of countries that have already banned GM crops, seeds being planted and they must be supported against any pressure being applied by Obama’s govt.
We can defeat Monsanto’s move to contol what we eat. Together we can win.
If I can remind people of how dangerour Monsanto, Dow, DuPont are, remember they along with others manufactured Agent Orange used on Vietnam resulting in the deaths of many thousands, including children many died in their mothers wombs. Today Vietnam has near to four million people suffering from the effects of Agent Orange.
Didn’t myself perceive any potential comprehension problem with the headline, Len. And I’m not being defensive – I didn’t write it! But I must be blind to some linguistic subtlety or other, because Theodora says she agrees with you, so I’ve given it a new one. :–)
