Welcome Back Keith, I Will Now Re-Subscribe to iTunes

Ironically the two iTunes podcast downloads on my iPhone daily are Countdown and The Dan Patrick Show. They (plus Rachel) represent a few hours of sanity each day provided by fellow lovers of intelligence, politics, truth and sport.

To find smart anywhere in the media today is a stretch. One of my favourite dialogue bits comes from the pilot of Studio 60.

Danny Tripp: I have no reason to trust you and every reason not to.

Jordan McDeere: Why?

Danny Tripp: You work in television.

Yes, indeed. While she actually turned out to wear the white hat, so few in that business ever have a shred of conscience or decency. They live in fear of their own shadow issuing fiats from behind upper floor desktops without ever once considering the impact beyond perceived shareholder value.

So thank you for not rolling over, showing ‘go to your corner time-out contrition’ or allowing the empty suit of Phil Griffin or the rest of the GE/Universal/Comcast cabal to take anything more from you than two nights. It was the marathon this weekend, hope you were not held under siege in your building and allowed to enjoy the marathon and a lovely 4-day weekend in NYC.

The double standard inside MSNBC and NBC has been exposed and the false equivalency between you and FOX is a joke because it exists within the confines of your own network.

Keep fighting and know that those on the side of truth and good and anger support you.
