Welcome to Hofstra University on Long Island in New York. We’re live-Tweetcasting and blogging this second Presidential debate.

I’ve decided to save my blood pressure and will avoid all the networks this time and just watch this debate free from breathless commentators, SPIN rooms and others.  Not much good has come from the previous. Instead it’s non-profit, live feed, C-SPAN from beginning to end.

- I will avoid the SPIN rooms and head to bed at 4:40 am.

- Strong Obama close on the 47% much better debate for him.

- Mitt attacking a person is what the President does? Coffee through nose and across computer screen.

- Outsourcing of American jobs question to Mitt. Starts answer by talking about China after he has moved them?

- WTF? Illegal to have automatic weapons? Mitt’s huge gaffe, second headline moment of the night.

- Romney caught in another lie about Libya. Testy exchange. Romney put in place by Commander-in-Chief.

- Pot calls kettle black? Blames Obama for going to a fund-raiser? Now fear-mongering with no policies of his own.

- Even when trying to be genuine about the Embassy family memorial service Romney sounds smug, smarmy & disingenuous.

- FOX pool tried to again to get clock in the camera as Obama talks but you know were told by debate people to get it out of the shot.

- Romney is just spewing lie after lie… 23 million looking for work…but GOP Congress has not lifted a finger to help. When will they be?

- Spellbinding answer from the President. Great list of accomplishments. Closing argument with 37 minutes to go. Great leadership.

- Here we go China on the table.. “Governor, you are the last person to get tough on China.”

- Romney asked serious question about Bush failures he pivots back to contraception because he has no answer but his mythical 5-point plan…

- Romney is such a disaster on women issues (I wrote about it) that all he can do is talk schedules. Pres talking about real pocketbook issues

- :42 minutes in and not one specific other than Obama bad, me good? That is the Romney solution.

- What the hell is Romney on about? Not answering the question. Flexible schedule not answering wages question. Now diverting to lost jobs?

- Next question is on wages and gender gap. President telling his family story about the women in his life hitting glass ceiling.

- Crowley trying to nail him. his reply – of course they add up? In Romney world… and ‘completely foreign’ dog whistle race word in a debate? Wow.

- Cost of lowering rates 20%, estate tax, corporate taxes costs $5 Tr. plus allis $8 Tr. and won;tt add to the defifict – how? Can’t tell you.

- Romney is flailing nd this cannot last another hour. Top 5% will pay 60% is loaded answer, lower exemptions, rates & deductions? That is the Trojan Horse here… not denying they will pay less

- Romney quoted another study. Which RW blogger did that one come from.

- Romney: The top will still pay 60% and here it comes, choose your 25K deduction pool so here comes the budget hole… this is your morning headline.

- Question on taxes. Woman asked about all he promises to cut but bow no answers as to what he will do.

- Just a walking talking point Romney is… Obama says prices were low because economy was near collapse and is now back to wind.

- Wow. Romney being called liar yet again. And he is. Obama attacking much more this debate

- President Obama answering question on energy and gas prices. Will be interested to see how Romney handles this – drill baby drill…

- Obama on the offensive. 5 point plan is a 1-point plan, take care of the people at the top. Going after Bain and philosophy for the last decade. Mr. Fuzzy is gone.

- Crowley follows up on long-term unemployed to Romney and here comes the bogus number of 23 million… and here comes the 5-point plan zzzzz.

- Obama out swinging attacking Romney on letting auto industry go bankrupt.

- Mitt Romney just promised a young man a job i 2014. How many wish they had asked that question.

- 1st question on the chances of getting a job after leaving University goes to Romney.

- You could hear the news anchors all speaking befor Candy came on.

- Did I miss something? When did Crowley as in ‘ow’ I hurt myself become ‘ohly?’ Is this the Bouquet residence vs. Mrs. Bucket?

- 4 minutes until the top of the hour and something you do not hear often… silence. Lovely, No breathless CNN anchor, no Katty Kay, just the rain on the window sill ahhh.

- Candy Crowley has just been introduced and apears to be having microphone/sound issues.

- The candidate wives have been introduced and we’re 9-minutes away here in the UK, 01:51 takes a lot out of one…

- The pool broadcaster for all networks are FOX and C-SPAN. Heaven help us all?

- Debate will begin 90 seconds after the top of the hour, the news anchors will get that much time to welcome viewers.

- We’re listening at the start to former Presidential press secretary Frank Farenkopf, Mike MCurry issuing a no-Tweeting ban and Hofstra President.
