The Bush countdown calendar’s down to its last sheet. 385 pages gone. It’s been almost 2-years since that freezing day Obama announced his candidacy on the Illinois Statehouse steps. We are more than halfway through a positively giddy festival of a celebration weekend. Thousands are milling about the Washington DC Mall just wanting [...]

One does not become POTUS after 3-years in the Senate without making shrewd moves. John McCain lost the presidential election only because the Obama landslide was greater than Republican operatives anticipated and local GOP apparatchiks weren’t vigilant enough in preventing legitimate voters from casting ballots. And when informed by field offices of a potential voting rights problem, Attorney General Michael Mukasey reportedly chose not to do anything.

With 72 hours left in the campaign, the McCain brain trust finally recognizes that its effort to link Barack Obama to “unrepentant domestic terrorist” Bill Ayers is having as much of an impact on voters as the “experience” argument.
So it is trying trotting out a new smear.
It is blasting Obama for consorting with [...]
