Media Lets Bald-Faced Lies Grow Under Fair & Balanced Umbrella

We’ve fallen down a media rabbit-hole and there is no way back. Senators, Representatives and UK MPs say whatever they want and are assured their corporate media interviewer mouthpieces will not have the spine to pin them down or ask tough questions about the ridiculous nature of the partisan pronouncements. Why, because of [...]

BNP UK Win = KKK Capturing A Massachusetts Congressional Seat

Posted on 08 June 2009 by Denis Campbell | Comments (0) | Tags: BNP, European Parliament, Gordon Brown, John Kerry, KKK, Labour, Lib Dems, Massachusetts Congressional Seat, Tories, UK Elections, UKIP

The ultra racist British National Party (only native born white Brits can become party members), had an Adolph Hitler in the 1930’s moment and captured two European Parliamentary seats (a body they wish to see destroyed but whatever means needed) for the first time ever in UK-wide elections.
Geert Wilders far right Dutch nationalist [...]

So said embattled UK PM Gordon Brown. The last person I heard say this was my Dad a few hours before emphysema claimed his life six years ago. My mother walked in while he was in a labouring sleep, stroked his head and gently said, “it’s OK, you can let go now.” He [...]

Labour Party Implodes in Expenses SNAFU (Situation Normal All F***ed Up)

Posted on 04 June 2009 by Denis Campbell | Comments (0) | Tags: Conservative, David Cameron, EU elections, Gordon Brown, Labour, MP expenses row, Prime Minister Gordon Brown, The Telegraph, Tories

By Denis Campbell
Talking heads are having a field day over recent Cabinet resignations, prospects for yet another huge Labour loss this weekend in the EU elections and calls by many in Parliament (even some Labour back-benchers) for a no-confidence vote and immediate elections. You have to wonder if the Prime Minister relishes getting out of [...]

MP Expense Row Drum Beats On

Posted on 18 May 2009 by Denis Campbell | Comments (0) | Tags: Buckingham Palace, Conservative leader David Cameron, David Cameron, displeased, Gordon Brown, HRH Queen Elizabeth II, Lib Dems, MP expenses, Nick Clegg, Prime Minister Gordon Brown, Queen Elizabeth, Tony Blair

Her Majesty is “displeased.”
Queen Elizabeth II normally stays above the fray, so much so that “displeased” is a cause for alarm bells across Westminster and the land. Most monarchs in Europe’s labyrinth of Constitutional Monarchies serve largely “ceremonial” roles. Although most can still take the Draconian step of dissolving a dysfunctional government, they [...]

London is all a Twitter as President Obama arrived here three hours ago, walked to the base of the Air Force One staircase then levitated across the tarmac to the amazement of startled onlookers, his red cape flowing beneath his 50,000 watt smile.
OK, I mean the BBC providing a live feed was a bit much [...]

If you liked the US election, you’re gonna love the upcoming PPV steel cage match in the planet’s greatest political theatre. Steps away from London’s West End houses offering titles: Wicked, Les Miserables and The Mousetrap, the House of Parliament’s Prime Minister’s Question Time should be highly entertaining as both parties attempt to [...]

Gordon Brown knows quid pro quo.
He sat quietly in waiting for 12-years as his would-be mentor Tony Blair stayed vainly in power much too long and frittered away Labour’s public standing in a series of dramatic pratfalls, the biggest being a huge backlash for being a loyal Bush lapdog for years over Iraq. [...]

It begins with one whose ambition gets ahead of him or herself. About The UKProgressive

UK Progressive E-Magazine began during the 2008 US Presidential Campaign and was created to consolidate and replace two blogs created in 2006 called “Outside the Boundaries,” a political blog and “Fire the Guru!” an expose blog of charlatans in the Mind Body Spirit business. It was briefly called The Vadimus Post. That name came from the Latin 'Quo Vadimus' or 'Where Are We Headed?'

When looking for pithy Latin URL names, I’d watched a moving episode of the same name (different tense, Quo Vadis) from Sports Night, an early series created by The West Wing’s Aaron Sorkin. It was the last episode and focused on the sale of the network to an unknown billionaire who asked the question every day of those who worked closest to him. He wanted to know the answer and… Do We Know Why? His rationale: we spend so much time on things urgent, we miss the important and do we ask ourselves (and others) why we are heading in a particular direction?

Well that is what we ask in these Op-Ed pieces, articles, live feeds, video segments and contributions from friends and affiliates. We are blessed to be able to dialogue with you and our aim is to provide independent, critical insight into the issues of the day. UK Progressive is published daily in Monknash, South Wales. Its founder, An American in Wales, is US journalist Denis Campbell who has been based in The Netherlands and the UK the last 11-years.

The opinions expressed are those of each contributor and do not represent the opinion of Denis Campbell (unless expressly authored by him), our advertisers, any related companies and/or their affiliates. UK Progressive is a free, continuously improving news distribution service (because none of us could live with ourselves or face our mothers if every edition did not represent our very best effort). A lot of work goes daily into producing this true labour of love.

While most of us have other day jobs to eat, we’d love to get to the point where we can monetize this so it covers all of our expenses, allows us to pay our contributors for their fine work and helps us to continue to expand and grow. While not like PBS or other media groups shilling for logo umbrellas every ten minutes, we find it embarrassing to even have to ask… and we could use your help.

If you like what you see here and would like to help us bring it to you by making a donation to support future developments, well, we’d really appreciate it. Our PayPal account is named after a lovely canal side café in Lochem, The Netherlands which our office overlooked years ago.

We promise a team cheer and ‘happy dance’ in your name in advance. Thanks.
