I’m a Huffington fan. I read the Huffington Post daily, find her commentators on the cutting edge. She and they are articulate and asking the right questions. Most did not give her much of a chance three years ago and thanks to her, Keith Olbermann on MSNBC and Air America the left voice is being heard and the number of readers and viewers grows as the country tires of FOX News and the right wing wing nuts running it.

The Obama campaign broke down a lot of barriers and those who stayed with it had a great run. Liberal is no longer a bad word.

Arianna showed that America wanted to dig deeper and her book is a damning look at the right and how they have hijacked the media and we are all complicit. She asks tough questions about the media and their attempt to balance without thinking about whether or not something is true.

I especially like the way she backs up every point with factual references to reporters who did/do their job and were ignored, rather than simply ranting against the leading right-wing nut crazies. She not only wants to embarrass their poor performances, she wants to completely eviscerate them and that is good thing.

The book has a machine gun style, is, thankfully, devoid of Hollywood name dropping, instead focused on where change is needed and it keeps one involved and wanting more. The focus is on building a convincing body of evidence for each claim made.
