If Harry Reid’s a ‘Dirty Liar’ Where’s John?

“Attention John McCain, please pick up a white courtesy phone for a message.” John, you could seriously harm and perhaps derail the Romney Taxgate controversy with one simple statement…

“Harry is lying. Mitt paid a large amount of taxes.”

You, besides Mitt himself releasing more records, are the only person who can stop the bleeding. So why are you still silent?

We’ve 90 days to go until the US Presidential election, that will mean some 2,136 hours of cable television news (and adverts) to endure.

The good news is we’re halfway there from when I started compiling the table in mid-May . Back then it showed more than 4,000 hours. The bad news? It’s all getting rather desperate and silly out there.

We’re starting Day Seven of Romney Taxgate coverage. The candidate is bleeding and like a fighter in a clinch is throwing out the kithen sink to get folks to stop focusing on his tax returns.

It isn’t working.

The Republican/GOP Party tried to gin up outrage over faux Democratic Veteran voter suppression, an out and out lie, which merely brought attention squarely onto the lawsuits the Republican/GOP are losing regularly in their attempt to prevent voter registration, early voting, requiring previously unneeded IDs (an illegal poll tax) and disenfranchise black, Latino and older voters.

They then tried to to play the race card aimed at ‘aggrieved white workers’ and blamed blacks for everything from ‘taking their jobs’ to ‘wanting perpetual welfare’ in an effort to gin up racist white resentment against President Obama and the Democratic base.

Those efforts are also tanking.

RNC Chairman Reince Preibus called Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) a ‘dirty liar’ on ABC’s This Week programme Sunday. It was yet another line crossed by the outrageous Republican National Committee Chairman (is the job prerequisite to be totally loony tunes all the time?).

And yet it continued to beg the question…

John McCain has been on Sunday talk show a prolific number of times over the last 10-years as a key GOP spokesman and candidate. He is the only person to have seen 23 years(!) of Mitt Romney’s tax returns when he vetted Mitt for VP (and then chose Sarah Palin instead).

The question I have not heard anyone in the mainstream press ask:

“If Harry Reid is such a liar, why hasn’t John McCain come out and said so? He does not have to reveal details, he can answer up or down, yes or no… did Mitt Romney pay enough taxes the last ten years?

Instead his silence is deafening, perplexing and no one calls him out on it? Harry Reid is like a Pamplona, Spain bull runner. He tweaks the bull then runs to escape.

Or maybe Romney-bot 2.0 is just full of bull…?
