On Day 69, (an interestingly appropriate number), former President Bill Clinton climbed off his high horse and stood on stage for the 1st time this campaign in Orlando with Barack Obama.
Recognising his tepid support was not only hurting his wife’s slim chance for 2012 (in the event of an Obama loss), it was dooming his legacy and her further chance in 2016. I have written several times about their childish and churlish behaviour. Now all seems forgiven as Bill showed yesterday why he is still orator-in-chief of the Democratic Party.
In 42 riveting minutes he laid out the case for Barack Obama beginning with four reasons/attributes Obamahas as President that his opponent does not:
1. You need the philosophy – America works best from the bottom up,
2. You need the right policies,
3. You need the ability to make a decision and
4. You need the ability execute that decision and make changes in people’s lives.
